Haitian Women's Soccer 6-0 Loss to Canada

VANCOUVER, Canada (defend.ht) - It was a long night for the Haitian Women's National Soccer team on Thursday who suffered a 6-0 loss at the hands of the Canadians.

It was the opening day for the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers in Vancouver and the home team scored early (7th minute) and often, having a 3-0 lead by halftime.

Goalie Ednie Limage suffered an injury before the game would be over. She was taken out on a stretcher but doctors have since said she is recovering well.

The final score of the game was Canada 6, Haiti 0. In another beating the Dominican Republic took a 14-0 loss from team U.S.A.

Two teams out of the 8 competing will advance to the World Cup.
