World Cup Qualifiers: Haiti in Group F with Antigua & Barbuda, Curacao, U.S. Virgin Islands

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - The national senior soccer team will play from September 2 to November 15 the second round of qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup. The draw for the qualifications of the 2014 World Cup, held last Saturday, July 30 in Rio de Janeiro, place the Grenadiers in Group F alongside with Antigua, Virgin Islands (U.S.) and Curacao

In case of qualification, the national team will face in the third round the United States, Jamaica in Group A and the winner of Group 5 which includes Grenada, Guatemala, Belize, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from June 8 to 16 October 2012.

Group B is composed of Mexico, Costa Rica, the winner of Group 1 (Salvador, Surinam, Cayman Islands and Dominican Republic) and the winner group 2 (Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Barbados, Bermuda).

Group C consists of Honduras, Cuba, winner of Group 4 (Canada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and Puerto Rico) and the winner of Group 3 (Panama, Dominica, Nicaragua and the Bahamas).

The winners  of these three groups (A, B, C) will play the last round from February 6 to 15 October 2013 and the first three will automatically qualify for the World Cup.While the fourth placed team will play the intercontinental play-off.

The World Cup 2014 will take place from June 12 to July 13, 2014 in Brazil. Thirty-two teams will compete for the most coveted trophy in world football.
