NFL Draft | QB Chris Paul-Etienne Scrambles When Necessary

NEW YORK - Out of Miami Edison High School in Florida, Chris Paul-Etienne was a well recruited quarterback for his strong arm and natural instincts.

Upon graduating in 2005 he was recruited by Rutgers University. With injuries and a competitive lineup at quarterback at the end of the 2008 season, Paul-Etienne decided it was time for a change.

It was an odd change that occurred only a week before the Rutgers BCS Bowl game that year but it ended up being a good one.

The for Miami quarterback transfered to the University of Rhode Island, where for the first time in his college career he would be the undisputed starter of a team.

Chris Paul-Etienne Preseason

In the season opener for the URI Rams, Paul-Etienne broke out with a total of 245 yards and 3 touchdowns - 164, passing, 81, rushing. It was a good season as he threw for 1,745 yards through the air and 14 touchdowns.

The Haitian-American quarterback, came on even stronger in the final four games of the year as he averaged 236.7 yards passing and 10 touchedowns while only throwing 3 interceptions. His 10 touchdowns were the most of any CAA quarterback that year.

Paul-Etienne won't be going in the first round of the NFL Draft this year but the prospect is on the radar of NFL ball clubs for recording a top 5, 40 yard dash time, for quarterbacks, at the NFL Combine.
