Haiti-DR: Martelly e Fernandez Cadastre sete acordos de cooperação

SANTO DOMINGO, Dom-Rep (defend.ht)- President Michel Martelly and his counterpart Leonel Fernandez signed Monday, March 26, seven agreements of cooperation and a Memorandum of Understanding, during the visit of Haitian head of State in Dominican Republic.
These agreements cover trade, tourism, security, and investment, according to information published by the Dominican newspaper, Listin Diario.
A Haitian-Dominican Memorandum of Understanding between supported by Venezuela creating a fund to help rebuild Haiti was signed by both heads of state.
Emphasis was placed on security at the border in these agreements. Both Presidents intend to fight against crime, drug trafficking, arms trafficking and human smuggling, according to the Dominican Chancellor, Morales Troncoso.
Notice President Martelly made the trip to Santo-Domingo without his passport but with a special invitation of the Dominican President, established the Haitian immigration service.
