Universidade Quisqueya para introduzir baseadas em gênero Certificações para Curriculum

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Em parceria com a Universidade de West Indies (UWI), Quisqeya Universidade lançou o primeiro de uma série de workshops com o objetivo final de estabelecer com base no género cursos e certificações para estudantes universitários no Haiti.
The workshops are being funded by the United Nations Women organization, established in July 2010 for "gender equality and the empowerment of women."
A team of UWI researchers from the university's Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) began the first two-day workshop at UniQ May 11. Other experts in feminism in the Caribbean will also hold other workshops in the future.
The aim of these workshops is to establish a certification program for students who take courses in gender analysis, policy and planning skills aimed at improving equality for women.
