Haiti: Digicel Haiti nomeia novo CEO

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - Digicel, empresa de telecomunicações do Haiti maior, substituído CEO Maarten Boute na quarta-feira para que ele possa passar mais tempo com sua família de acordo com a porta-voz da empresa, Antonia Graham.

Haiti's largest tax payer has brought in Damian Blackburn to be the new CEO in Haiti. Maarten Boute leaves the post after 3 years.

Blackburn, recently CEO for Digicel Honduras, has more than 14 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He will oversee operations for the company's largest market, Haiti, which accounts for about a quarter of its 11.1 million subscribers.

Damian Blackburn comments; “I am very excited about my new role. Haiti is full of opportunities and I am looking forward to continuing to build the business there and delivering new innovations, great service and great value to our customers. I am also deeply committed to continuing to support our communities as we do all we can to help Haiti to a brighter future.”

On January 5th, Haiti's second largest carrier Voila, also saw its CEO, Robin Padberg resign.
