President Martelly to Embark on 10-Day Tour Through Europe

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - The President of the Republic, H.E. Michel Joseph Martelly, will leave the country this Wednesday, July 6, 2011 for a European tour of 10 days which will lead, among others, Spain, France, Belgium and Great Britain.
During this diplomatic trip to promote a new image of the country, the President of the Republic will meet with the Heads of States and Governments of many countries and potential investors.
The main objective is to find economic and financial opportunities for the revival of the national economy, the President intends to motivate investors, reassure the traditional donors and to encourage tourists and potential consumers to have confidence in the "brand" Haiti.
This will be not only an opportunity for the President to remake the image, too long tarnished, to outside, but also the time to strengthen bilateral relations with most countries of Europe to draw the maximum.
The revival of the national economy necessarily passes through the production, the creation of market for Haiti, the strengthening of bilateral relations and the promotion of brand of Haiti through the world. The Head of State applies with all its energy and has called for the support of all.
