President Martelly to Meet with King and Prime Minister of Spain

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - The President of the Republic of Haïti will travel to Europe on July 7 to be received by the President and King of Spain and appear at a convocation of European businessmen interested in investing in Haiti.
H.E. President Michel Martelly, will meet with, among others in Madrid, Spanish Head of Government, Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and the King of Spain, Juan Carlos .
Discussions will focus on current operations of the Spanish people in Haiti through the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) , and strengthening relations with the two countries.
The Queen of Spain has made several visits to Haiti in recent years dating back to 2009. The European nation is particularly in cooperation with projects of economic development, environmental sustainability and gender equality in Haiti.
The President will also meet with businessmen Europeans interested in investing in Haiti. The President's message to this is group is that Haiti provides an environment conducive to business.
