Haiti: Lower House Special Committee Submits Report on Prime Minister

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) – The special committee of the lower house studying the Prime Minister-designate Laurent Lamothe’s eligibility for ratification finalized its report last weekend and made the deposit of this document to the Office of the Secretariat-General of the House on Monday, April 30, 2012.

When asked about the content of this document, the President of the commission, Jacques Stevenson Timoléon has refrained from making disclosures to the press for reasons of “ethics and principle”.

"The report will be officially presented to the office of president Levaillant on Monday and while the general public will know the contents at the meeting probably this week," simply say the MP Timoléon.

However, a parliamentary source says to Radio Metropole that the report of the special commission of the lower House admits in the conclusions of this document that Laurent Lamothe is eligible for the post of Prime Minister.
