MIAMI, USA (defend.ht) - As he begins his third week of convalescence in Miami (USA) the head of state of Haiti, Michel Martelly, prepares to receive the visit of a delegation of parliamentarians composed of Edwin Zeny, John Joël Joseph and Kelly Bastien. The goal of this visit of members of the Senate delegation is to inquire about the health status of head of state.
In recent days lawmakers said they were not officially in the evolution of the health of President Martelly, hospitalized for a pulmonary embolism since April 7, 2012.
The delegation was made following a recommendation of the Senate Health Committee chaired by Wesner Polycarp. In his correspondence Senator Polycarp had emphasized the need for that senators get clear information on the health of President Martelly.
Prime Minister-designate Laurent Lamothe should accompany members of the Senate delegation that will travel to Miami on Friday.
Senator Edwin Zeny, near the head of state, has protested against the statements of some leaders who doubt the veracity of the head of state of convalescence. He reveals that his father died of a pulmonary embolism that had not been diagnosed and treated by doctors.
At the same time, he denounces the machinations of certain sectors that wish the death of Martelly to gain power.
Earlier this week President Martelly had assured that it was healthy and ready to return home. However it must wait for the green light from his doctors to resume flying.
