Deputies form commission to analyze appointed PM Case

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht)- The Chamber of Deputies formed Tuesday a special commission of seven members to analyze the appointed Prime Minister case one week after the ratification of his choice in the Senate.

The commission, which includes in its membership representatives of the six existing parliamentary blocs and independent, is composed of Deputies Francenet Denius (Lazile Nippes, southwest), Julionel Anélus (Lestère, Artibonite, North), Abel Descollines (Mirebalais / Boucan Carre, Centre), Theophilus Gluck (Lemonade / Quartier Morin, north), Rodriguez Rodriguez (1st district of Port-au-Prince), Vikens Dérilus (Verrettes, Artibonite) and Steevenson Thimoléon (Petit Goave, west).

Thursday, the commissioners should receive PMD’s documents and an invitation letter should be sent quickly to Mr. Lamothe to launch the analysis process.

After obtaining a favorable but highly controversial vote by Senate, Laurent Lamothe, current foreign minister, has already held talks with parliamentary groups in order to achieve a majority in favor of accession to the Prime Minister.
