PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - Before seizing member BelizaireThursday, President Martelly had openly stated that he planned to put under arrest other Members of Parliament, reports Lower House President, Sorel Jacinthe.
Haitian president would have threatened the MP Jacinthe that he will "catch him as well".
"I have your records about you, I'll sue you because you killed a 15-years old teen," would have said Michel Martelly quoted by the president of the Lower House.
"We are facing a dictatorship growing in the country," lamented on his side MP Levaillant Louis-Jeune.
"The Parliament is being attacked," responded Senator Franky Friday Exeus reacting from the United States on Representative Arnel Belizaire arrest . "I cannot believe that society has accepted this", he said.
The deputies are to meet this Friday to formally comment the arrest of the member Arnel Belizaire while under immunity. They threaten to erect a high court of justice against President Martelly.
Mr. Belizaire was dramatically handcuffed last night at the international airport of Port-au-Prince as he stepped off a plane from Paris. Then he was driven to National Prison.
