PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) – Judge Carves Jean will 'scold' Jean-Claude Duvalier in court for violating the terms of his house arrest.
The Associated Press reported Thursday that Judge Jean has a hearing set for “Baby Doc” for Friday and will order an arrest of the former president if he is late.
Although on a house arrest order that would ban “Baby Doc” from leaving his home and restrict visits to his house, the former dictator has been seen in bars, restaurants and delivered a commencement speech at a graduation in Gonaïves in December.
Last week, Duvalier attended the memorial service marking the two year anniversary of the earthquake of January 12, 2010 which killed more than 250,000.
