Haiti Gov't Operation to Repave 23 Miles of Road in Port-au-Prince

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - 23 miles of roadway in the city of Port-au-Prince will be repaved in an operation called "Bouche Twou", "Close Holes", announced the office of the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe.
This operation of the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Communication (MTPTC) is government funded and operated by Haitians. Beginning on Monday, July 2nd the operation will take 90 days for its completion.
The sections concerned will be:
Rue Monseigneur Guilloux,
Ruelle Alerte,
Avenue Muller,
Route des Dalles,
Rue Laraque,
la Ruelle Fouchard,
Deprez,
Rue Magasin de l'Etat,
Rue Dr. Aubry,
and Rue du Centre.
On Monday, the prime minister's office said the operation was part of the policy of revitalizing the urban city of Port-au-Prince. This part aims at "facilitating the smooth flow of vehicles, improve public transportation and significantly reduce damage caused to automobiles."
Interim executives of the city's municipal government were invited to participate in the realization of "Bouche Twou" by ensuring follow-up communications with the concerned public.
