Poll: Haitians Say Charles Henry Baker Should Be Next Prime Minister

ORLANDO, USA - A poll asking Haitians throughout the world who should be the next prime minister of Haiti found that the overwhelming favorite is Charles Henry Baker.
Charles Baker did support either candidate in the second round. The closest public tie between he and the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, are that they both supported coups against former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
The poll, conducted on the Defend Haiti, social media Facebook page, provided 7 options for users to choose from which included, current Prime Minister, Jean-Max Bellerive, former Presidential Candidate, Jude Celestin, Repons Peyizan and Chairman of the Port-au-Prince Bar, Gervais Charles, Laurent Lamothe, former Presidential Candidate and First Lady, Mirlande Manigat and Martelly Advisor, Daniel Supplice. Users also had the option to choose neither.
After 24 hours of polling, the two-time former Presidential Candidate, Charles Henry Baker, was the overwhelming favorite with more votes than all other selection combined.

A total of 77 votes were recorded after 24 hours. The make up of the possible users that could have voted is very diverse. Defend Haiti is not a page of one particular ideology, class, religion or creed.
The page does have its particulars in terms of age, sex and geographic location.
51% of the users are female, 46% male.
The age group ranges from 13 to over 55, with 70% between the ages of 18 and 34.
64.6% of the users reside in the United States, 9.6% in France, 7.5% Canada, 7.4% Haiti and 3.3% Dominican Republic.

Baker was found to be the overwhelming favorite by a significant margin but it is important to note that the poll is conducted on the internet, via facebook, on a page that is primarily in English.
For those reasons this poll does not necessarily reflect the sentiments of the population of Haitians living in Haiti.
