Haiti: Former PM Invites Martelly-Lamothe to Begin Major Reconstruction Projects

CAP-HAITIEN, Haiti (defend.ht) - Former Prime Minister Michelle Duvivier Pierre-Louis invited the Martelly-Lamothe government to declare a clear vision of rebuilding the country and begin major reconstruction projects.
Pierre-Louis, who served as prime minister for former President Rene Preval, acknowledge the difficult situation Martelly was thrusted into.
She mentioned the earthquake of 2010 and an election year and cholera outbreak that fall and also recognized the difficulty in establishing a government.
Ms. Pierre Louis believes now is the time to articulate a clear vision for the country and let the people of Haiti know where their government officials plan to take them.
Serving from September 2008 to November 2009 as Prime Minister for the second term of President René Préval, Pierre-Louis says with the introduction of the new government team Martelly-Lamothe, the country can finally begin major reconstruction projects.
