PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) – Former presidential candidate, Charles Henri Baker, would invite the President of the Republic Michel Martelly to submit his parts to the special senate commission reviewing the nationalities of members of government.
Baker, head of the Respe Party, believes the Head of State should put the population and international partners at ease by cooperating with the senate commission.
According to Vision 2000, Charles Baker does not agree with the notion that ministers and secretaries of state are permitted to having other nationalities, referring to the Constitution of Haiti (1987-unamended).
Along with Baker, the former head of the Organization of People in the Struggle (OPL) and the head of the Christian Movement for a New Haiti, have also called for the Head of State to cooperate with the investigating senate commission.
