Magnitude 5.1 Earthquake Hits SW Dominican Republic

BARAHONA, Dominican Republic (defend.ht) - The United States Geological Survery, National Earthquake Information Center is reporting a magnitude 5.1 earthquake epicenter at Barahona, D.R., (80 miles East Southeast of Port-au-Prince).

The earthquake was felt at 4:32:37 PM EST.

Emergency management officials in Haiti and the Dominican Republic say no injuries or damages have been reported.
