Everything is set for academics according to the Interim Chair of the Limonade Campus, Jean-Marie Théodat, who spoke to Le Nouvelliste.

"We will welcome 1,500 students for the first classes... northern students are priveleged because they will not need to be housed on campus," Theodat told the paper on Monday.

On-campus housing is all that remains to be built. "We're trying to build housing for students and teachers. They will be ready in three months," Theodat said, who expects housing to be available for 160 students and 60 teachers.

Academics

Specific degree programs have not been settled yet for students. The Interim Chair said that students entering will begin their liberal arts education and in the second year of the university, specific disciplines will become available.

The President of the State University of Haiti, Jean Henry Vernet, said that a study was commissioned to identify the development needs of the northern region of Haiti. It is with this study that degree programs for the college will be developed around.

President Vernet announced he would hold a press conference on Wednesday to give details on the study for disciplines. "It's based on this study that we will reflect on what to put in place at this campus," he said.

Registration

To register, prospective students must present a birth certificate; certificates of completion of secondary education, first and second parts; tax registration number; and fulfill a requirement of not already being expelled from another institution of the State University.

Registration will be online at www.ueh.edu.ht/admission after paying the registration fee of 500 HTG ($12.00 [US]) in any branch of Sogebank on behalf of the UEH/Application account, Account No. 706054558.

After this stage, applicants will have to file the required documents in format 9x12 yellow envelope to the secretariat of each faculty chosen (up to three) between 8:30 am and 4am. pm, Monday through Friday.
