KINGSTON, Jamaica - A promotion from telecommunications leader in the Caribbean, Digicel, aims to double the credit for customers in Haiti through the summer months of 2011.
The promotion being dubbed, "Double-Bubble", began in mid-June as a rise in the international rate of phone calls to Haiti took effect. Now, with this promotion, customers and loved ones in Haiti using the Digicel carrier receive twice the phone credits for the same value price and service.
It was previously set to expire on June 30, now Double-Bubble is extended through July 31.
To be eligible for the double gains patrons must credit Digicel accounts online at digicelhaiti.com. The minimum amount of a recharge is 550HTG or $13.75USD. Everyone taking advantage of the promotion also becomes eligible for a $250USD cash prize, for themselves and a loved one, each.
Double-Bubble is also available for customers who use Digicel's new and free "Fingertip Top Up" service, which allows credits to be made directly from users' handsets.
