PM Conille to Review Contracts Signed by Former PM Bellerive

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht)- Premier Gary Conille announced Monday the establishment of an audit committee to review some contracts that the government Jean-Max Bellerive had concluded with firms during the emergency period after the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
Premier Gary Conille who made the announcement, said that several contracts signed during this period are completely unjustified.
A first reading of the records indicates that only one firm alone has 80% of contracts. This leaves in doubt the head of government.
Composed of three Haitians members, audit committee is at work since last Wednesday and will submit to the head of government a report containing three recommendations based on the contract, the maintenance, renegotiation or termination.
