Louis Farrakhan Will Be in Haiti to Encourage a Movement of Unity

CHICAGO, USA (defend.ht) - The Head of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan Muhammad, will be in Haiti from December 11th to the 15th to encourage a great movement for the union of all Haitians.

According to Le Nouvelliste , a press release said Farrakhan hopes the movement can get all Haitians on with the task of rebuilding Haiti.

Minister Farrakhan, alongside the Haitian Lawyers Leadership Network, established to a solar powered water treatment center in Plaine du Cul-de-Sac. The treatment center processes 30,000 gallons per day, and Farrakhan will make an assessment on this trip to determine areas where he can further contribute to development.

The Minister wishes to have a constructive dialogue with all religious authorities of the country and will make a call to the public in a 'Meeting of the Unit for the Advancement of Haitian Families" message that will promote reconciliation, unity and peace in Haiti.

"The call will not fail, for sure, cause the world a positive response to our country," according to a note from Wyclef Jean, President of a committee arranging the visit.

Louis Farrakhan is famous for having organized the "Million Man March" in Washington D.C. in 1995. He has traveled many times around the world but has never been to Haiti.
