Haiti: Electricity rations down to 8 hours for at least one month

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - One month before the promise of electricity 24 hours per day by Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, even worse rationing of electricity was announced by the Directorate General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH). In the highly populated districts of Delmas, Petite Place Cazeau, Bel Air and Lalue, to name a few, the availability of electricity is reduced from 16 hours per day to 8 hours per day, since Thursday April 25.
