Mayor Jeudy who had worked throughout the summer to clear public spaces of internally displaced persons welcomed the bank which would help fund the reconstruction of housing in and around Delmas 32.
The mayor's program received $30 million pledged by the International Development Association (IDA) - an institution affiliated with the World Bank and $ 65 million pledge by the Fund for Reconstruction of Haiti (FRH).
The Office of Monetization and Development Programs (BMPAD) is the main implementing agency of the project that will work to relocate the victims of January 12 to their neighborhoods.
The World Bank's support will also help launch the repairs and / or reconstruction of their homes and restart their economic activities as well.
