Dep. Arestasyon Belizaire a: Lejislatè Vle Rejte Gouvènman Martelly a

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - Legislators want to revoke members of Martelly's government, and even the president himself for arresting Deputy Arnel Bélizaire (Delmas & Tabarre/Veye-Yo). Ministers Thierry Mayard-Paul (Interior), Josue Pierre-Louis (Justice), Secretary Michele Brunache (Foreign Affairs) and Attorney General Félix Léger are among the targeted by legislators.

Parliamentarians met on Friday in Port-au-Prince in order to "provide an appropriate polical response" to MP Arnel Bélizaire's arrest Thursday, according to Deputy Abel Descollines (Mirebalais & Boucan Carré/Lavni).

Tabarre's deputy was released this afternoon, or rather he was "submitted to Parliament for appropriate action" as said by the Haitian Justice Department in a letter sent to legislators today.

"Appropriate action" that some have interpreted as lifting the immunity of the MP Belizaire, but parliamentarians preferably in consultation resolved to break down a few heads in the government of President Michel Martelly that they accuse of having manipulated the justice system to imprison one of their own.

"Never again shall occur again, we will discuss various proposals for an answer," said Abel Descollines.

With the senators of the republic on their side which are planning to meet this October 28th to launch a process to "beheading" the ministers of the interior and justice and the secretary of foreign affairs.

President Martelly himself is in the line of fire of MPs outraged by the arrest of their colleagues. The member for Desdunes, Levaillant Louis-Jeune (Dessalines-Desdunes/Inite), even announced in January the same procedure for the removal of the Head of the State.
