Aktè Gary Sinise te anonse lansman de yon nouvo inisyativ yo bay timoun yo plis pase 2,500 lekòl pwovizyon kòm Ayiti ap travay rebati yon sistèm edikasyon piblik.
The star, most known for his part in CBS's CSI:NY, Gary Sinise co-founded Operation International Children (OIC ) in 2004 to provide school supplies to children in unstable areas of the world. Iraq was the focus of attention then.
In Kansas City, Sinise said as he received the Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Award said that playing the role of U.S. President Harry Truman in a 1995 HBO film prompted him to begin working on international relief programs, including People to People in Kansas City.
People to People administers OIC. He received the award for those efforts and work for veterans and active military members.
On hand to receive the school supplies was U.S. Lieutenant General P.K. Keen , the Deputy Commander of U.S. Southern Command (SouthCom ), who will send the supplies with members of the U.S. military to distribute in Haiti.
