LAS VEGAS, USA (defend.ht) - Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao lost his WBO World Welterwieght title to Timothy 'Desert Storm' Bradley by a split decision.
The Filipino fighter Pacquiao took his time to watch his team the Boston Celtics lose in a game 7 against the Miami Heat only to step into the ring and take home an L himself.
The judges scored the fight:
| 115-113 | Bradley |
| 115-113 | Pacquiao |
| 115-113 | Bradley |
The stunning results were jeered by the crowd in the arena. ESPN, MMA, The Los Angeles Times and many other news outlets believed Pacquiao had won the fight handidly, some even judging it to be a 117-111 victory.
The unbeaten Timothy Bradley (29-0) was not bothered by the long wait for Pacman to watch the Celtics game. "It doesn't bother me at all," Bradley said. "We can wait all night because we have to get it on. I am focused. When it's time to go, it's time to go."
Bradley's trainer Joel Diaz agreed: "It's okay, it doesn't bother us. We waited two-and-a-half months in training camp. It doesn't hurt us. Whenever he is ready, we are ready."
Bradley was not bothered clearly and showed it by beating the eight-division world champion, with six world titles, who was named the "Fighter of the Decade" for the 2000s, Manny Pacquiao.
