On Monday he held an audience at the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation that included the Special Representative o fthe United Nations Secretary General and the director of the UN Development Program.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - On Thursday, the Ministry of Trade and Industry announced it would prohibit the import of meat products from the Dominican Republic due to the resurgence of the avian flu in that country. In the Dominican Republic, there have been nine deaths, including two pregnant women, of 593 cases, of people having the virus in the past 24 hours.
