Haití: Sporting Complex Abre en Gressier

Gressier, Haití (defend.ht) - El miércoles, un nuevo complejo deportivo se inauguró en la localidad de Gressier en San Juan Park Baptist. Completa con una cancha de fútbol y cancha de baloncesto, el complejo fue construido por iniciativa del hijo del presidente Michel Martelly, Olivier, quien es el Jefe de Estado para las actividades deportivas y la Juventud.
The opening of the field was attended by the President, First Lady Sophia Martelly, Mayor of Gressier, Jean Valcius Estinval, Sports Minister Jean Roosevelt and Deputy Jean Ronald Oscar (Gressier/Alternative).
According to a press release the president's son welcomed the project saying, "the realization of this project is a dream come true."
Many were on hand for the event which also featured a soccer match between the "T-formation" and Gressier Jaguars. Paratroops flew in to add to the spectacle.
The Head of the Sport and Youth Activities office announced more complexes would be built or repaired throughout the 10 departments of the country.
