Two other lawyers, including Samuel Madistin, were inside the vehicle that was encircled by gunmen who then opened fire and shot Mr. Lagrandeur, reports AHP.
Mr Madistin who was unharmed in the attack, questioned the motives of this new crime. If passengers have not been stolen their billfold, the robbers made off with some of their effects.
Lawyer Camille Leblanc who worked in the same firm as Mr. Lagrandeur concerned that the bandits can peacefully continue to plunge into mourning families.
The former Minister of Justice has praised the victim, a native of the island of La Gonave, "a man determined, disciplined, with a sense of responsibility," he said.
Two other people were also shot dead Friday night in Port au Prince, one at the entrance to Cite Soleil, while the other died near the Toussaint Louverture airport (north).
These killings are extending the long list of victims of insecurity in the metropolitan area of Port au Prince. Last Thursday, gunmen have killed at home police inspector Coffy Joel.
