MORNE CABRIT, Haïti (defend.ht) - Lors d'une visite à Morne Cabrit, le président Michel Martelly a appelé le peuple à défendre son pouvoir contre les «laboratoires du complot».

Among dozens of refugees from the earthquake of January 12, 2010, President Martelly denounced “conspiracy laboratories” that plot at no end to overthrow him.

"I am a Haitian native born," said Martelly. “If I have dual-nationality why not interview the Provisional Electoral Council which had approved my application.”

The president and members of the government are currently entangled in a case to verify their Haitian nationalities. Martelly and members of the Council of Ministers have not complied with the investigation being undertaken by a senate commission.

Two helicopters were mobilized to enable the Head of State to visit the 4,000-home Renaissance Village of Zoranje. The village is currently under construction through a grant by the Inter-American Development Bank to benefit internally displaced person of the January 12, 2010 earthquake.
