Several Statements were issued by political party leaders  after the ratification of the outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Lamothe  as new prime minister of the country.

The leader of the OPL, MPs defend their own interests over those of the population. Mr. Pierre Etienne does not believe that the new prime minister will be able to work for the welfare of the population saw the pressures that exist within the current government.

Responsible for the MNP-28, Dejean Belizaire, the Thursday session took place outside of constitutional norms. It was more of a political voting and non-technical as former Senator West has called for a national unity government.

Paul Evans, the leader Konvasyon Inite Demokratik (KID), criticized for his part, "a session of indecency which confirms that the shame of the Senate of the Republic on April 10.  It's a shame that the parliamentary  invented the concept of "political vote" to violate the Constitution. No member should approve the record of an aspirant to the Prime Minister if his record is not correct. " He believes that Laurent Lamothe was not eligible as prescribed in the Constitution and that the Deputies and Senators have violated the Constitution, and should render account before the High Court of Justice.

While admitting that the vote of the MPs was rather political, general secretary of the union Haitian citizen for Democracy and Development and Education (UCHADE), Jean Tel Joseph, who was speaking on a radio station in the Capital says bow to the decisions of Deputies.

The political leaders have invited the Prime Minister to take all steps to meet the needs of the population.
