Travailleur humanitaire canadien Tourné en Haïti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haïti (defend.ht) - Un ressortissant canadien a été tué lors d'une attaque week-end dernier par des hommes armés à Port-au-Prince, Haïti capital.Francklin le Guerrier, un avocat à la retraite à partir de Montréal et directeur d'une organisation humanitaire Ayiti Dwa Moun (Haïti droits de l'homme), a été agressé par des tirs à Port-au-Prince.
Going along with a friend, Francklin Guerrier was wounded in the collarbone while his friend, whose identity is unknown, dies from his injuries.
Beverley J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation of Canada, said in a statement that the Canadian government "provides support to Mr. Guerrier family (…) “Our government is working with consular officials to ensure that the family receives support in this time of need”, she says.
According to witnesses, the two men were attacked by men on a motorcycle. The reasons for the attack remains so far unexplained. Mr. Guerrier is in stable condition.
