Sun City Image Debuts Maison à Tribeca

Après beaucoup de rares cinémas de fonctionnement ont été détruites par le tremblement de terre, David Darg et autres travailleurs humanitaires, a décidé de construire un nouveau, le Soleil Photo Maison de ville, au sommet d'une colline à Cité Soleil.
Darg and Mooser have made fund-raising videos before but this time they would document the construction and function of the picture house, in the form of a film. Actress Olivia Wilde became a part of the project as well as videographers from the CINE Institute in Haiti.
With the help from people in the community the building was constructed in 5 days and operates showing a line up of top films from the U.S. and around the world.
To celebrate Sun City Picture House’s debut at the Tribeca Film Festival Darg, Mooser and Wilde came out to further support their short documentary and in this interview by Cinema Blend (left).
Synopsis by TriBeca:After watching the last of the old colonial movie theaters destroyed in the earthquake, a young Haitian man enlists the help of a priest and two young aid workers to build Haiti's only movie theater on a hill above a tent city. This is the joyful and moving story of a community torn apart by disaster then united in a singular vision.
