Según Martelly la nación se enfrenta a tres crisis

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - On Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, identified three social and political crises facing Haiti.

In a feed from Haití LIBRE , the President identified the first to be the constitutional crisis.

In the past month, amendments were adopted by the, current, 49th Legislature but were published in the official journal of the executive, Le Moniteur, with errors. Amendments not accepted or even voted on were included in the journal. Martelly said as to what to do about this matter, "at this level I will decide."

This situation has given way to another "crisis" as the President would describe it. The ratification of the Prime Minister should it be done by the Constitution of 1987 or by the amended Constitution. The difference between the two processes is that in the '87 version, both houses would have voted together and in the amended, the votes would have been in separate chambers. To this matter the President said "I'm not saying that it is a crisis but I call it crisis because we need to move forward."

The last of the "crises" is regarding the recent elections held for 3 seats that were outstanding as of April. The President, quoted by Haïti LIBRE said "I must tell you that I received a text for publication with the various Deputies and Senators [...] but the problem I am facing today, and which makes that I can not publish it, it is that the signatures on the document are scanned signatures, they are not original..." adding "It comes a time where the President must decide [...] it is the role of the President to take major decisions, that means that on the question of the elections, we will decide" declared Martelly.

Two members of the Provisional Electoral Council, particularly the President of the Council Mr. Gaillot Dorsinvil have been AWOL for the past 2 weeks as an ethics investigation by the Senate was launched on charges of fraud, bribery among other malfeasance.
