PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haití - El senador Jean Hector Anacacis estaba angustiada miércoles por la tarde para encontrar que no hay reuniones para ratificar un primer ministro se había celebrado o previsto para el futuro previsible.
The second Senator of the Ouest Department told reporters that the everything is dead and then called on the President of the Senate, Rodolph Joazile to meet with President Martelly and President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorel Jacinthe, to begin meetings - 9 times.
"Well right now it's totally dead."
"Since Senator Joazile is the President (of Parliament) he should write the gentlemen a letter saying 'gentlemen please, let see if we can come together so that we can hold a meeting [1]'
"Me, I came here today for a meeting [2], but there is no meeting [3], tomorrow there won't be a meeting [4], the day after tomorrow there won't be a meeting [5] - for what reason?"
"It is meetings [6] that we are here to have, this is our home, the people have sent us here so that we can come to a meeting [7], but the gentlemen don't want to meet [8] to have a meeting [9]..."
Up until Wednesday the President of the Republic and Presidents of both houses have not met to discuss the selection of a third choice for prime minister.
The constitution states that with consultation from the presidents of the senate and chamber of deputies, the president is to choose a prime minister.
The government is at a stand still. Legislation can not be passed by the parliament, as their first duty is to install a prime minister, and the president has no executive power, without his chief executive, the prime minister.
