Funcionarios del Gobierno Comprometerse a la producción agrícola local

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haití - El Presidente de la República Michel Martelly fue a la mano con la Primera Dama, Sophia Martelly y Senador de la Ouest, Steven Benoit, Diputados de Kenscoff M. André Gustave y Plaisance du Sud, M. Paul Luberne , ya que se reunió con la Asociación Campesina Lefèbvre para discutir los temas críticos que enfrentan la agricultura en la localidad.
In the remote, mountain commune of Kenscoff , the government officials promised the Association Unies Nèg Coumbite their support by creating in the commune an agricultural credit bank. This part of a bigger initiative by the president to create credit centers for the agricultural center, across the nation.
De acuerdo con la Haití Press Network the Head of State announced on June 28 in Leogane, the establishment of banks for agricultural credit throughout the country. The president said he would accompany local agricultural societies and any other grouping or association of farmers in the ten geographical departments of the country. "If we lend you money, it will you have to pay if you always want to have access to loans," he urged.
President Martelly also added to task work to feed electricity to the area, opening of schools in the municipality and the construction of more roads to link various remote communes in the region. Martelly Reiterated his promise of free and compulsory education for children and a State capable of responding to the expectations of its citizens.
The Martelly administration is committed to supporting peasant development initiatives, as was the case in Léogane for the launch of the CEPA, less than 3 weeks earlier. In Leogane the president told the farms as the first credit center for agriculture was built, "if you need materials, fertilizers, agricultural tools, do not hesitate to let me know, I undertake to provide for you..."
