Haití: Digicel nombra nuevo director general para Adquirida "Voila"

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht)- The mobile phone company Digicel has announced Monday, April 23, the appointment of Noel Herrity as the new CEO of Voila-Comcel, following the acquisition of that company by Digicel at the end of March.

With 25 years of experience under his belt, Noel is a veteran of the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Digicel family, he spent five years as CEO of Zantel in Tanzania, a subsidiary of Etilasat. Under his leadership, Zantel has grown from 1.5 to 10% in a highly competitive market.

Prior to Zantel, Noel was the CEO of BTC in Botswana, for 3 years and has also held key positions in companies like: Eircom and Western Connect.

Noel will report directly to Damian Blackburn, Digicel-Haiti’s CEO, and his appointment is effective immediately.

Noel Herrity replaced in this position Robin Padberg who resigned last January for reasons yet unknown.

Despite the acquisition, Digicel has promised to run the two companies separately.
