BROOKLYN, USA (defend.ht) - The annual West Indian Parade which takes place on Labor Day travelling through Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn New York was not attended by any Haitian bands.
Haiti Press Network (HPN) which had a correspondent on the scene found that at "the largest gathering of Caribbean communities" the "Haitian musical groups were conspicuous by their absence on the Parkway."
This is an oddity as the Haitian float usually is the most crowded with the largest number of compatriots beyond any other country surrounding it.
HPN still reports that concerts were held through the weekend by T-Vice, Djakout #1, Nu Look, diSIP, Harmonik, Kreyol La, Carimi, Karizma and Tabou Combo.>
