MONTREAL, Canada (defend.ht) - Wyclef Jean was interviewed by Montreality recently where he talked about his past, his legacy and touched on the tax and legal issues of his former Fugees band member Lauryn Hill.
Sitting back on a couch with a cool Cross Colours, 80s style, Nike jacket, the former Haitian presidential hopeful shared his love for Haiti, growing up as a teenager and his poor performance in school.
When he discussed Lauryn Hill, he gave words of encouragement. They reportedly haven’t spoken in years although occasionally there a rumor gets around of a Fugees reunion.
“I heard about the little drama she got in the news, wishing her better on that. You know? Actually, I was on the phone with Pras earlier. It’s all good. Nothing but love for the Fugees,” said Clef responding to the news that Hill had plead guilty to tax evasion and is facing 3 years in prison.
BET News said although Ms. Hill's future may be a bit cloudy, but Jean, however, is working on a book called Purpose, which will be released in September. He revealed, “My first book is called Purpose. Because that’s the first thing I did, right? I had to find my purpose. That’s what a lot of us go through.”
