A Haitian Rocker Named Yohann

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) – The young Haitian rocker Yohann Dore just released "Ayiti Men Rock" (Haiti Rocks), the first Creole rock album. The album contains ten songs. Recorded in Miami (Andy Barrow’s Studio), it was produced by Joe Dore, the father of the rock singer.

"The idea to sing rock came alone. Yohann loved this kind of music despite his entourage was more konpa and rap", said to Haiti Press Network Joe Dore, the father of Yohann and also his executive producer, referring to the beginnings of his son in rock, a musical style not very popular in Haiti.

Yohann as a child taught himself the guitar concepts. He worked his voice with the singer well-known James Germain. He made his debut in rock singing songs in English.

"After the earthquake of January 12, 2012, we had to communicate with the public. That's why I advised him to sing in Creole. This is a good CD, the songs are well structured," said Joe Dore.

Making the transition from English rock to Creole Rock, Yohann produced an album of eight songs that are already for sale on websites such as CD Baby, Amazon. The album will be in early January on Itunes.

The staff of Yohann is preparing to release the album in January 2012 and is working on a clip video. A concert will also be held on the day of the sale, with the participation of an international artist, said the executive producer of Yohann.
