Haiti: Hollywood Celebrities Gather for Fundraising Event

LOS ANGELES, USA (defend.ht) - Sean Penn, Kim Kardashian, Orlando Bloom, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Hilary Swank Demi Moore, Rumer Willis, Salma Hayek, Mel Gibson, Petra Nemcova, Felicity Jones and Soleil Moon Frye, made a hot list of celebrities attending a fundraiser for Haiti Saturday night.

The event was held at the Montage Hotel in LA was called Cinema for Peace Haiti, a relief fundraising event which raised money for Sean Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

Sean Penn was awarded the Joel Siegel Award on Thursday for his nearly two year long dedication to relief in Haiti.

Established in 2010, J/P HRO has maintained a tent camp of about 50,000 people for the past two years. Oprah Winfrey visited the camp in December and said it's "like the earthquake happened yesterday." Kim Kardashian had also visited the country at about the same time.
